About us
From Petit-Goâve to the World: The Zénith Konpa Journey
Born in Petit-Goâve, Haiti, Zénith Konpa Band was created with a clear mission: to preserve, elevate, and share the soul of Haitian konpa music with the world. What began as local rehearsals and community performances has grown into a powerful cultural movement. Today, Zénith Konpa Band represents both tradition and innovation rooted in Haiti while incorporated in New York through Zénith Konpa Band Cultural Organization, Inc.
We serve as ambassadors of Haitian identity, blending classic konpa rhythms with fresh artistic vision, performing across the Americas, and engaging new generations. More than a band, we are a cultural foundation committed to ensuring konpa doesn’t just survive, but thrives, educating audiences, supporting emerging artists, and honoring the heritage that shaped us.
Our Mission
To promote, preserve, and elevate Haitian konpa music and cultural heritage through artistic excellence, community education, and international representation. We work to ensure that konpa, Haiti’s rhythmic soul, thrives as both a cherished tradition and a vibrant contemporary art form for present and future generations.
Our Vision
A world where Haitian konpa music is recognized, celebrated, and respected as a vital contribution to global culture. We envision Zénith Konpa Band as a leading institution for konpa, supporting artists, educating audiences, uniting the diaspora, and representing Haiti’s creative excellence on stages worldwide.

Our Core Values
Cultural Authenticity
We honor the roots, traditions, and true expressions of Haitian konpa music. Every performance, collaboration, and creative decision respects the cultural foundation that makes konpa unique and meaningful.
Artistic Excellence
We pursue the highest standards of musicianship, professionalism, and creative innovation. Our commitment to excellence ensures that konpa receives the world-class representation it deserves.
Community Connection
We serve the Haitian community—at home and throughout the diaspora—as cultural ambassadors, educators, and advocates. Our success is measured by our ability to uplift, unite, and inspire our people.
Education & Preservation
We actively teach konpa’s history, techniques, and cultural significance to new generations and global audiences. Preservation is not passive—it requires engagement, learning, and intentional transmission.
Professional Integrity
We operate with transparency, accountability, and organizational excellence. As a nonprofit cultural institution, we uphold the highest standards of ethics, governance, and cultural responsibility.
Innovation Within Tradition
We respect konpa’s heritage while embracing growth, creativity, and contemporary expression. True preservation allows culture to evolve and remain vibrant and relevant.
Global Representation
We carry Haiti’s cultural identity with pride and responsibility, representing our nation and our music with dignity on every stage and before every audience.
These values guide every decision we make, shape every performance, and define who we are. They are not aspirations—they are daily commitments in service to konpa music and Haitian culture.
